Frequently asked questions
Program requirements & structure
The Supervised Practicum is only available to students who have successfully completed both the Foundations of Psychedelic Medicine online training and the Immersive Retreat components. You can begin at any time after completing these prerequisites, allowing flexibility to fit your schedule and learning pace.
The Supervised Practicum provides hands-on training applying Embodied Imagination® for Psychedelic Integration techniques with real clients. The practicum requires completion of 10 client sessions to ensure adequate practice with the methodology. Most students complete the practicum in approximately 2-3 months, with a weekly commitment of approximately 4-6 hours. This includes client sessions, review of feedback, consultation hours, and peer learning activities. While there is a required minimum number of sessions, our focus remains on quality of learning rather than simply accumulating hours.
Supervision process & resources
During the practicum, your clients will complete feedback forms after sessions. Your course facilitator will review this feedback along with your recorded sessions to identify your strengths and areas for growth. Based on this assessment, they'll create a personalized learning plan and provide guidance through regular one-on-one sessions.
For recording client sessions, you'll need basic video recording capability (most laptops, smartphones, or tablets are sufficient). For supervision calls, you'll need a reliable internet connection and a device with video capability. We take client confidentiality seriously—all recordings are stored securely, reviewed only by your facilitator, and handled according to strict ethical standards.
You'll receive a comprehensive practitioner toolkit that includes session templates, client intake forms, assessment tools, integration planning worksheets, and consent documentation. We also provide script examples for guiding clients through the Embodied Imagination® for Psychedelic Integration process, troubleshooting guides for common challenges, and reference materials to support various client scenarios. These resources are designed to help you implement the methodology with confidence while maintaining professional standards.
Client work & support
Many students work with existing clients from their current practice or with friends and family members interested in integration support. We also provide guidance on finding appropriate practice clients. If you need additional support, your course facilitator will work with you to build confidence and address specific concerns.
Throughout the practicum, you'll have direct access to your facilitator for guidance when difficult situations arise. Beyond scheduled supervision calls, we provide emergency consultation options for complex client situations. Our community also offers peer support through facilitated group sessions where you can discuss challenging cases while maintaining client confidentiality. Our focus is on quality of experience rather than quantity, helping you develop expertise through meaningful client relationships.
Our global community of students and facilitators spans many time zones, and we're committed to making the practicum accessible for everyone. Supervision calls are scheduled at times that accommodate your location, and our facilitators offer flexible options to ensure productive meetings regardless of where you're based. The self-paced nature of the practicum allows you to conduct client sessions at times that work best for you and your clients. Our learning platform and resources are accessible 24/7, ensuring you can progress through the practicum seamlessly while connecting with both your facilitator and the broader global community.
Certification outcomes & logistics
Upon successful completion, you will receive your full Certification in Psychedelic Preparation and Integration, officially recognizing you as a Certified Embodied Imagination® for Psychedelic Preparation & Integration Practitioner. This certification qualifies you to be listed in our Practitioner Directory and to apply the full methodology in your professional practice.
Graduates apply their skills in diverse settings, including private practice, integrative healthcare, coaching, counseling, wellness centers, and in affiliation with legal psychedelic retreats or clinics.
