After 35 years in the theater, as an actor and director, I went back to school to become a therapist. I was inspired to do so by the deep healing I experienced working with a brilliant and soulful therapist.
In addition to being a licensed marriage and family therapist (with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy), I hold certifications in Equine Therapy and Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy. For me, the deepest healing has come from these therapies that tap more than the conscious mind. Healing involves all of what makes a human being: body, mind, soul, spirit.
For the last 12 years, i have worked with unhoused and formerly unhoused veterans. I recently retired from the position of Clinical Director for Housing at Swords to Plowshares, and now facilitate an Expressive Arts group at their Veterans Community Center and see veterans for individual therapy at their Drop-in Center. In addition, I have a small private psychotherapy practice.
I am also a mother, poet, and visual artist.

Psychedelics present us with mystical, beautiful, sometimes frightening experiences. Healing lies in meeting the medicines: holding up our end of the conversation. This is the hard, sacred, joyful work of integration. All it can do is change your life.
